All right.. So I'd like to attempt to compensate for everything lost during the hacking without allowing room for people to lie and cheat their way to better stats. As such, everyone will be given the option to recreate their characters with the following conditions. I understand some members will lose stats as a result, while others (and likely more) will gain them. I apologize for the unfairness in that factor, but hope that the method in which we go about this will prove at least acceptable to most or all members.

This shall remain open forever, due to members who are currently inactive but may come back.

Note: Only members who were here before the hacking qualify for this.

Note2: I refer to various aspects of these promos as "options". Note though your only other options are to not recreate, or to do so with starting level/etc. '^^; So they are technically options, as you aren't REQUIRED to take anything, but I can't see why anyone who still wanted to RP wouldn't, heh..

REGARDING ITEMS
Until the items list is redone, all items will be treated as "Item Credits". These can be exchanged for items once the new item list is completed. Note that the Item list will be done very differently and will not contain nearly as many items, but will contain a wider variety and more strategically created items.


---------Now, onto the promo:----------


To start, naturally the limit on evolved species in hybrids will be removed for recreated* characters.


Next, every member will be given the option to go through all past promos and reclaim everything once claimed within them, EXCEPT LEVELS. You will be responsible for doing this yourself. Any promo gifts reclaimed must be done so for the same character that they were first claimed for. (You are, of course, allowed to trade items/herbs/berries between characters in the Item Market later, but we want to prevent accidental or intentional claiming for multiple characters, and this is the easiest way to manage that. :3) In order to reclaim, simply add the gifts you had claimed to the profile when you recreate it, and add a note of where each extra came from with the link to the proper promo at the end of the profile. :3

Next off, you will be given an option to increase the Level of your characters based upon how long you have been a member of Element Destiny. I am fully aware this is not actually an accurate measure. =/ The logic is, though, that the longer you've been around, the more promos you would have taken and/or more leveling you would have done in-RP. Yes, technically we could go through all promos and RP topics and PROBABLY calculate it back pretty close. This will be infinitely faster, however, and as mentioned, should help more people than it hurts. This is part of the attempt at compensating for the pain and effort of having to recreate everything.

SPECIAL: Grand Alphas shall ALL be Lv70 upon recreation. This will NOT count against the below options. For OTHER characters:

If you signed up on ED between.....

• Creation and September '07 You may have 300 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv50. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Oct '07 and Dec '07 You may have 250 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv50. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Jan '08 and Mar '08 You may have 200 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv45. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Apr '08 and Jun '08 You may have 175 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv45. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Jul '08 and Sept '08 You may have 150 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv40. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Oct '08 and Dec '08 You may have 125 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv40. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Jan '09 and Mar '09 You may have 100 levels to divide among characters however you see fit, excluding that no character may exclude Lv35. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Apr '09 and Jun '09 You may have 60 levels to divide among characters however you see fit. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Jul '09 and Aug '09 You may have 30 levels to divide among characters however you see fit. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.
• Sept 1 and Sept 19, 2009 You may have 10 levels to divide among characters however you see fit. Levels can be used for new characters as well, and saved if you do not yet have enough characters to use them all on.

Note: All levels granted above will be added to the base starting level.
When it says "exceed level", it refers to the total overall level. Regardless the base yours is added to, the number given is the highest any char can be.

As an additional form of compensation, every character recreated* may have an extra TM, HM, Egg, Tutor, or Special move. ("Special" meaning moves like Extremespeed for a Dratini, Volt Tackle/Surf/Fly for a Pikachu, Roar of Time/Spacial Rend for a Darkrai, etc.)

ALL recreated characters may use this as an opportunity to take up (a) different type(s), different abilities, and/or different moves/movesets than they had before.

* = In order to qualify as a recreation, the character must have been roleplayed in at least one RP post or had at least one promo claimed for them which states their name before today (Sept 20): proof they existed. '^^; I'd much hope this isn't necessary, but just in case.

Kk, I get 200 levels for my 8 or so charries who I know that I can recreate on the spot, who will have their promo stuff that they had already for the most part from the day they were created... But I do have my charries saved cause I'm a pack rat...

It does pain me to see these characters and all that lost, but it's probably good for me. This is one of the few nights I've had free time for a long while... Calculus is a--yeah. (40-70 problems per section. With multiple parts. 2-3 due every MWF. @-@ And this was only Chapter 1! u.u )

I'm claiming the 175 levels, and I'll go through sometime--Sunday? I (might) have time then--and find what promos I've claimed, and for who.


Edit:
Question--it says, for my level, that characters cannot exceed level 45. Does that mean 45 extra levels, or 45 total? For example, I am a Head Mod+, so my chars start at Lv. 8; Argiderr started @ ~ 12 because of age (32 I think he was); so assuming that as a base level for the sake o this example, would Argiderr be allowed to be only 45 like everyone else, would my characters be able to be up to Lv. 48 because of my Head-Mod-ness, or even 52 for him, because of the old-age boost? Sorry to be so long-winded. xD

Flora, you assume you will still be receiving that bonus. As you can see, however, I have been revamping the rules significantly given I have to rewrite them anyway. I am undecided as of just yet whether there even WILL be Staff Bonuses, or if there are, I don't know if it will be in the form of levels.


At any rate, it means exactly what it says: "Level may not exceed". Not "levels given", but "level": the end result, the total overall. This means IF Staff Level Bonuses return, yes, anyone could get just as high level a char as you starting out; however, you will be able to achieve it without using QUITE as many of your promo levels, meaning more to use elsewhere, so it still works out as being a bonus. :3

I actually figured that--I just wanted to be certain. And yes, I was assuming that--as I said, for the sake of exampleness. I don't want to make an ass out of you or me or anybody (lame pun!) so I don't assume anything about how the rules are going to be, except what I've read of the new rules. =D

I don't really care a bunch one way or the other, especially considering of my 25 or something characters, I plan on reviving very few. They were all good ideas, but... I did nothing with them. *shrug* The only ones I'm bringing back are ones that there was something I wished I'd done differently while creating them. xDD

Argiderr will be back, and maybe played this time...? xDD Played more, at least. (Maybe. In what time I have. xDD)

Uhmmmmmm...... Well this is utterly horrible.... Why would anyone want to hack ED? Well this is a good time for me to start all over. Yeah So i'll take the two hundred levels and put them in storage. I will also take nothing else I'm gonna start over if that's ok. So Yeah I don't know if that will mess things up. If it will Tell me and I will start all my old eons over.

P.S. I now have better grammar!!! xD xD So i might try out for spriter again.
