Title: Application Form

Heart of Thorns - May 8, 2007 11:02 PM (GMT)
If you would like to be a Mod or Spriter, please fill out the following application. I do not ask for a minimum post count, only a fair amount of activity. However, a higher post count will certainly help your odds. If you are on another board, such as Sunerion, where you have proven yourself to one or more Admins already, it will help a lot too.

Requirements?:
- You must have at least one approved character and minimum of one RP post before applying for Mod.
- You must be online at least once a week for art-related positions, and at least twice a week for Mod.

Note: Only the Owner and Co-Owner can officially approve a Staff App, but all other staff is allowed to give imput.

At any rate, here's the app, and good luck!

CODE
[B]Which position are you interested in: Mod, Spriter, Artist, or a combination?[/B]
(Simple question. Lol.)

[B]Why do you want to be a Mod, Artist, and/or Spriter?[/B]
("I want to help" is no longer a valid reason. I mean, I know every applicant only applies out of the goodness of his/her heart and hasn't thought about staff benefits at all, but.. x3 Lol. Why ELSE, or WHY do you want to help?)

[B]What makes you think you deserve the job?[/B]
(Don't repeat the above. This isn't want, this is DESERVE. Why should we give you the job?)

[B]What experience if any do you have in this area?[/B]
(How long have you been drawing or spriting, or have you ever been a mod/admin/owner? If so, on what sites? Links are good but not absolutely required.)

[B]Example(s):[/B]
For spriters, at least 10 sprites. For artists, at least 3 of your best pics.
For Mods, construct a reply to ONE of the following RP posts, AND ONE of the following Battle posts. If you do great on one and mediocre on the other, we may have you concentrate on your strong points only.

[QUOTE=RP Example 1]The rain drops fell like tears upon me, as if even the clouds were lamenting my loss. How could I lose? I had the advantage. Everything was going so well.. But then, in a moment, it was over. I had lost the battle, and my mate. It seemed as though nothing mattered anymore. Nothing even existed.. Nothing but me and the rain..[/QUOTE]

[QUOTE=RP Example 2]Happy as a Blissey, I trotted through the fields. This was it. Today would finally be the day that the Pokémon I had adored for so long would finally become mine! I would make sure of it! Now if only I could find him...

o.o Wait.. I don't remember that tree.... or that bush...
.....
;_; "WHERE AM I!?"[/QUOTE]

[QUOTE=RP Example 3]Lucky trotted happily along. True to his name, he was having a lucky day indeed! He'd gotten to explore that pretty forest, and now this beautiful field! And besides all that, he got to share it with his adopted kit, Sammi.

Suddenly, Sammi stopped walking. She looked up to the big Absol/Ninetales with whimpering eyes. "Daddy.. I'm hungry.."

Lucky seemed concerned a moment, then smiled at the little Eevee. "No worries little one! I'm sure we'll find some food around here! After all, this day just keeps getting better and better!"[/QUOTE]

[QUOTE=Battle 1]My eyes grew wide as the Houndoom came racing toward me. Try as I may, though, my little Pikachu body could only move so fast. I dodged Matrix style as best I could, still being badly scraped up by that burning bite. The force knocked me completely over, so I finished the somersault out and used my tail to make sure I landed on my feet.

My small hand clutched my side, where I wasn't entirely sure, but suspected I had a bit of burn damage as well. Great.. Just what I needed- a burn from a Houndoom! As if mocking me, she laughed her seductive little laugh. "Had enough, little boy?"

I snarled and growled with frustration, static building in my pouches. "I'll show you! I'll show you all!" She wouldn't make a fool of me! Yelling with anger, I leashed the strongest Thunderbolt I could muster![/QUOTE]

[QUOTE=Battle 2]Kazu huffed with exhaustion. It looked like this was the end for the Diglet/Growlithe hybrid.. His Sandslash foe had just gone underground, and in a matter of moments he would pop up from who knows where to deliver the final critical strike. Why!? Why couldn't he resist his own type on this field! We was fine fighting other fire-types, but nooo..

Suddenly it hit him. Not the attack, but an idea! Tossing his sarcastic thoughts aside, he leashed his only hope of winning this battle: Earthquake![/QUOTE]
