Title: Siren for Mod?
Description: Yes, I'm serious.

Siren's Song - February 26, 2009 06:40 PM (GMT)
Which position are you interested in: Mod, Spriter, Artist, or a combination?
I'd like Moderator added to my Spriter and Artist possition, please.

Why do you want to be a Mod, Artist, and/or Spriter?
I don't have much of a reason, really. The site falls into slumps every now and then when its Mods seem to disappear. I know I'm not the picture of activity myself, but I'd like to be there as a Mod when someone's journey has been put on hold, or when other Mods are feeling overwhelmed. (The Mod benefits don't hurt either...*burned* What? At least I'm honest.)

What makes you think you deserve the job?
I don't really deserve the job. Not really. I'm not that active, and I have zero experience in the roll. But, hey, I'm on here as often as possible for me, I work hard (usually), and one more set of hands and eyes couldn't hurt, right?

What experience if any do you have in this area?
I've never really been in a Mod position, as previously stated. I own a couple sites, but they aren't finished. (My main one is a "creatures of the night" RPG)

Example(s):
QUOTE (RP Example 1)
The rain drops fell like tears upon me, as if even the clouds were lamenting my loss. How could I lose? I had the advantage. Everything was going so well.. But then, in a moment, it was over. I had lost the battle, and my mate. It seemed as though nothing mattered anymore. Nothing even existed.. Nothing but me and the rain..

While the sky seemed to mourn your loss with you, and the sun stayed well hidden away among the clouds, thunder rolled. The clouds roared like a mighty beast as lightning spider webbed across the sky. The rain grew in intensity, growing soon to a downpour. The drops of cloud tears pummeled the plants and cut into your pelt to reach your skin. The cool water soothed your wounds, and the beat of the rain seemed to massage your back and shoulders. The "bad weather" seemed like your only friend now in your time of loss. Wind carried the rain's whisper to your ears, comforting and some how encouraging. Thunder rolled again and lightning crashed somewhere near by, somewhere behind you. It seemed to be telling you something...

QUOTE (Battle 1)
My eyes grew wide as the Houndoom came racing toward me. Try as I may, though, my little Pikachu body could only move so fast. I dodged Matrix style as best I could, still being badly scraped up by that burning bite. The force knocked me completely over, so I finished the somersault out and used my tail to make sure I landed on my feet.

My small hand clutched my side, where I wasn't entirely sure, but suspected I had a bit of burn damage as well. Great.. Just what I needed- a burn from a Houndoom! As if mocking me, she laughed her seductive little laugh. "Had enough, little boy?"

I snarled and growled with frustration, static building in my pouches. "I'll show you! I'll show you all!" She wouldn't make a fool of me! Yelling with anger, I leashed the strongest Thunderbolt I could muster!

The Houndoom fae, sidestepped the bolt. Or so she thought. The crackling bolt scorched across the side of her face and body, leaving burned fur and flesh in its wake. The she-devil snarled, shaking her head to help shake of the pain searing into her cheek. "You little brat!" Her cold voice ripped into a snarling growl, her eyes glaring daggers at you. "You ruined my perfect face! You rat!" Where she was over-confident, seductive, and sassy, she was now pissed and vengeful. With anger, not would-be intelligents, moving her, she bolted for you, mouth full of gleaming teeth ready to use Crunch. There were obvious opening now for attack.

Got a couple minor spelling errors, where you've used a phoenetic spelling for the word you're after, like "intelligence"

I think your second post is quite acceptable. The first one is beautifully descriptive, but didn't really give the person many options on what to do, just made him marginally more cheerful.

I wouldn't have a problem with you being a mod. *shrugs*

Personally, I love the first. Not every post SHOULD be a gigantic labyrinth of options, and its nice to see a mod who can actually environmentally Mod. It did offer a hint of that mysterious something, which gives the subtle choice of whether or not to check it out. ^^

As Ryua said, there are a few minor technical errors, but ya know? I've seen a lot worse. xP

GRATZ~<3 ^^

(P.S.- If you find you really like Modding, and/or find yourself with a little more free time, check out 1KPA. We could use a Mod or two (.. 'xD Or nine..) there, even if you only pull out 2-3 posts a week. 'xD Seriously, anything would help.)
