Title: NaNoWriMo
Description: National Novel Writing Month

Whoo!

November is National Novel Writing Month.

There is a contest held each year. Actually... It's more of a challenge than a contest. How? If you enter, you win auto-magically!

Simple, eh?

...Not exactly.

The thing is, you need a novel you've written to enter.

But that's not all, either. You get to start writing this novel November 1st, and it must be done by November 30th (of the same year, D'OH!).

And then there's the word limit...

It needs to be at least 50,000 words.

Sounds too hard now, huh?

Well, if you break it down, it's not that hard.

To achieve exactly 50,000 words (in Times New Roman double-spaced fint comes to like 175 pages) in the 30 days allotted (assuming you don't cheat, lawl) would be exactly 1666.6 repeating words per day, which means aiming for 2000 would be a better goal--after all, some days I'm sure you'll end up a bit short.

OK, so it's not easy, but not too difficult either.

...So, where does one find and sign up for this challenge, anyhow?

Ah, that's the easiest part! Just go to NaNoWriMo's site to sign up and read more!

SRSLY. Though I will be (attemtping to be) doing this with my friends from school, the more the merrier! =3

...Though, as fair warning, you have to be at least 13 years old to enter. x3 I don't think that's really a problem here, as all the more literary posters here are definitely older than 13, just wanted to orewarn y'all.

I wish I could ;-; But all my exams are in November Dx

And after I've done all them, I would have about 2 weeks to write it ><

So... I'm not entering, despite how much I want to.

I've tried it before, but the Writer's Block always takes over my mind before I can get far. I'm more of a short-story writer than someone who writes actual long novel-like stories.
