Meh... As many areas as each land has, it's just been bugging me how not-diverse each land really is... Maybe we could come up with 2-3 more areas for each land?

For example, maybe the LoF could have a river and a lake. I mean, even though they don't like water, they still need to drink it, right? (<.< Cuz right now the only water is like.. an occasional tiny pond in a few areas..) Plus fish are still tasty..

Also, the LoE was originally going to have an underground lake, right? That would still be cool.

If anyone has ideas for the LU, don't be shy either. We just have to be sure the other 6 are balanced. So if one gets 2 more, they all have to get 2. LU could stay as-is, or get 20 more areas. (xD Maybe not QUITE that many, but you get the point..)

A few more areas would be nice, actually. At the most, two would probably be fine. I think the Land Unaligned could use at the most four more areas, afterall, it could use more lands, to get its activity up and such.

It sounds good, but I remember Jaxa having issues with coming up with the lands the first time. x.x I mean, when we were thinking of areas, I had at least 12 for LoL. xD But now I can use 2 of those ideas, so I'm good. :3

*exasperated sigh* <.< What is the Invisible Stairway and why is it there? The Land of Air now has 10 areas as opposed to 9 in all the other elemental lands.... ;.; Also, I actually had a plan for the Avalon thing had anyone ever just asked.. (Guess we forgot about it when the areas got done. xD) There was a secret magical entrance in the springs... But.. '^.^ I guess could someone at least password protect the staircase so it doesn't make Avalon totally land-accessible? And then land-dwellers will be required to find the staircase by exploring the mounts. Puh-leeeeeee-ase? xD

I guess to even things out, we NEED one more land per territory now.. So others can come up with their own if they want, or members can suggest..

Lake Nageheh [x]
A steaming lake filled with mineral-rich water. Its proximity to Fyrer Fjell makes its southern side a gigantic hotspring, ever-bubbling. This movement added to the odd color of the water makes it look like a lake of fire! Despite this, however, it is very healthy and good for the body. Further out into the lake, the water cools off, making for refreshing relief from the land's heat via a nice drink or relaxing swim.
{Bordering areas: Fields Aflame, Ascender Savanah, Flameburst Forest, Fyrer Fjell}

Alterations: Remove Ascender Savannah's bordering the Fields Aflame and vice versa.

I am pretty sure that I came up with four of those areas for my land at least, and in my opinion they are some of the nicest in my land. And maybe even compared to other lands they are nicer, mostly the forest of shock, cause where else do you see lightning randomly jump from tree to tree, :P.

I think the LoW needs more land areas. I know most of them live solely in the water but some can go on land.

I did promise ages ago to work on a comprehensive labelled map of Elemei, which I am acutally still doing. I haven't forgotten. But while I was sketching out the rough areas, I realized that all of them fit together except for the northern half of Dark. You've got Obsidian Tower, Blood Lake, and Spectre Fields, but there's a lot of open space there. Maybe the Land of Dark deserves a beach or something like that? I just... wanna fill up the empty spot on my map with something...

MG: What about a Marsh? Then you get the best of both world. xP Or WORST of both. xD Lol. But LoW is pretty prolific, so a marsh would be cool. :3 Parts would be solid enough to walk on while others thin enough to swim in, and a fairly interesting somesit all the same. ^__^ If you like the idea, I'll even make the board.

I was thinking that one specific mountain in the Kuling Mounts could be like a Mt. Thunder of Elemei(Considering a lot of places have them, or something representitive of it, if the LoA needs more land.

Hmm... a marsh would be a very nice thing, I think. Very good interaction between aquatic pokemon and land-based. Let's call it Dagobah Swamp! :grin:

And Land Unaligned could use something else too... some kind of a forest or plains region. It's pretty open right now... the Labarynth Rivers are cool, but they're supposed to wind between the whole LU, so they really kinda need something else to wind through. Maybe... like mini-patches of elements? A desert, a rich forest, a barren wasteland...

The stairway to avalon shouldn't count, I mean, how often is it going to be used by our member's LoA chars, considering most of them are winged creatures. Sides, it was made cause no one knew how to get up through the Springs or whatever were supposed to be used to get up in your crazeh mind. *Is shot again*

Despite the view most picture when they think of marshlands, this area on the south side of the Emeraude is actually pretty nice. While parts of the water appear to be dirty they are simply filled with good minerals that turn the water different colors. The grand alphess makes sure that the water in the area is clean of impurities. there is plenty of land firm enough to walk on, as well as lots of water to swim through. It's a nice blend of territory representing both the land- and ocean-based members of the LoW, making it a surprisingly popular vacation spot. Of course, the beautiful and rare plant life doesn't hurt either.

Sweet, are we really gonna call it Dagobah Marsh? I was sure I'd get smacked for that one...

Why does it need to be different colors? Anyway, she'd have to never leave it to ensure the dirt and water NEVER mixed.. I'm SORRY your land isn't 100% perfect paradise, but a lot of Pokemon happen to love that "ick" you refered to. Try the Poli line, or the glory that is Mudkip. Whether you, a young teenage girl, think it's "icky" isn't the issue, and muck doesn't mean impure, just kinda slimy. But it's perfect for a realistic and diverse climate that ensures all members of the Land of Water have their perfect habitat.

Unless you want to drive the Mudkip from the land. o.o *looks behind me at army of Mudkip-worshippers with pitchforks* xD Rofl.

How often is ANY of your territory used, Jaxa? It'll be rare, but how often do a lot of areas get used? Since Sjjo went and made the Mists Malice's personal territory that even his clan isn't allowed to go to, he has a territory that is barely allowed to be used. Anyway, there is plenty of oppurtunity for it to be used. Actually, I just had an idea. Whenever we get the board fixed, we SHOULD password protect it, but don't discourage leaking the password. After all, how would one realistically find it? Ask someone who knows where it is of course! :3 So it would be the ideal picture of a realistic invisible stairway.

Of course there is mud but none of it is polluted mud. In other words it's all natural and such. Heck no I love mudkips. xD Drive the koffing and Muk from the land! Muah. I just hate the word swamp. It sounds dark and smelly. Haha I feel so girly right now. I actually like marshes, there are a lot of estuarys where I live and I think they're really interesting. It's like a fish nursery in a way.

It's not types, Nami, it's Elements. There are four physical Elements as well as two spiritual Elements. (xP Ever watched Avatar? *shot* Benders and Yin-Yang ftw! *SHOT AGAIN* xD Okay, letting fangirlism shine there, but seriously. Yin and Yang is actually incorporated into my religion (don't ask, it's one-of-a-kind), and the four elements can be found a lot. Look at alchemy for one example.)

Anyway, just adding a few new territories is horrid enough. Do you honestly think there could be an entire LAND that no one happened to notice up until now? *SHOT* :x3:

How about an 'underworld'? A place underneath all of Elemei that links it all together. This could be useful to characters that cannot swim/fly to get around Elemei. It might only be able to be found if you are actually looking for an entrance or by pure chance (I.e. an earthquake sends you hurtling down into the depths of the catacombs). It could be full of rouge characters and those that live underground.

x'3 I TOTALLY had planned that AGES AND AGES ago.. The 'underground waterways connecting all water in Elemei' is as close as it got, lol. I'd still kind of like to, but man that'd be a lot of work. Just add a bit here and there. :3 Once ED starts getting really big, though, I may just decide to do it.

Well, most of the underground could be flooded... I was just think of a place that all the underground dwelling pokemon would live, like Sableye,Whismer or Zubat.
It could also open up a whole new world. Think of all those creatures that live deep in caves. Like those blind albino spiders or those bizarre looking fish.
And it could help with hunting, as we are going through a famine. Although, those who do not rely on sight do get an advantage.
Who said the mods need to map it all anyway? Maybe simple routes between the Elements, but leave the rest unexplored. A different trip every time you enter or stray from the path.
Who knows what you might meet down there. Ghosts, Rock and Steel types and a number of insect species would thrive down there. Unique ecosystems too, like neon mushrooms (Glow-in-the-dark Paras or Parasects, lol) and other stuff. You might even find evolution stone mines, treasure rooms filled with rare items, lakes that heal the most grievous of wounds, or a host of other stuff. One tunnel might just lead into the magma chamber of the volcano!

Islands? hmmm...
How 'bout a reef instead? Like the Great Barrier Reef of Australia or something. Then you could have lots of 'reef islands', places where the reef has grown out of the water and have become covered in sand. Reef islands often have many plant species living there and unique animals too, if they're large enough.
